POSITION SUMMARY
Goldbergs Group is seeking an IT Senior Technician to take on an advanced, escalation-level role supporting our IT environment across restaurant, food manufacturing, and corporate locations. This role owns the complex hardware, software, network, and point-of-sale issues that front-line support cannot resolve, takes responsibility for the technology and asset lifecycle across the organization, and mentors junior technicians and help desk staff. The Senior Tech is expected to operate independently on recurring projects, support day-to-day operations across a fast-paced, multi-location business, and deliver reliable technical service to employees at every site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation point for hardware, software, network, and point-of-sale issues that help desk staff cannot resolve.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to end users across all Goldbergs Group locations, including our restaurants, food manufacturing facilities, and corporate offices.
- Log, track, and resolve IT incidents and service requests using monday.com, JIRA or similar platforms, meeting established response and resolution SLAs.
- Provide Microsoft 365 suite client application support and administer the Microsoft 365 / MS Entra (Azure AD) admin portal, including user, license, and security management.
- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including PC hardware, laptops, printers, tablets, VPN, and core software systems.
- Manage the IT asset lifecycle and proper allocation of desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and tablets — procurement, deployment, inventory tracking, and secure retirement.
- Work directly with vendors to support Clover POS systems across restaurant locations.
- Set up, maintain, and support Zebra printers.
- Set up, maintain, and support Ubiquiti UniFi security camera systems.
- Provide in-house audio/visual setup and support for meetings, events, and corporate spaces.
- Execute employee onboarding and offboarding IT tasks per department SOPs, including account provisioning, equipment assignment, and access revocation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot core network infrastructure — switches, routers, wireless access points, and VPN connections.
- Support vendor relationships and coordinate hardware/software procurement and warranty/support claims.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 27001 and SOX, SOC2 requirements for IT systems, data handling, and access controls.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and procedures, and help keep current the department’s SOPs, asset forms, and internal knowledge base.
- Assist with backup verification and disaster recovery procedures.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to help desk technicians and junior IT staff.
- Provide multi-location IT support, traveling between Goldbergs Group sites as needed to resolve issues that cannot be handled remotely.
- Participate in an on-call rotation — including weekends — for after-hours and emergency support coverage.
