Food Label Specialist

The Food Label Specialist encompasses the development, meticulous review, and upkeep of food product labels, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory standards and delivering precise, comprehensive details for consumers. This position demands a profound comprehension of food labeling regulations, unwavering attention to detail, and adept collaboration with cross-functional departments such as R&D, marketing, and QA teams. He/she reports to the VP of FSQ & Regulatory Affairs.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food labeling, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance
    in the food industry
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of food labeling regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and industry
    standards
  • Skills:
    o Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    o Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    o Proficiency in using labeling software and tools (e.g., Genesis R&D, Adobe etc.)
  • Certifications: Certification in regulatory affairs or labeling [e.g., Regulatory Affairs Certification
    (RAC)] is a plus
  • Additional Information:
  • Knowledge of international labeling requirements is an advantage.
  • Experience with product launches and managing labeling projects from concept to market is desirable.
